About Andy
The story of a 19-year old dude on the internet with passion for creative arts and computers.
Above photo taken in April 2009, back when I was a measly 18 years of age.
Why, hello there! My name is Andy Graulund, but I’m also known by my previous internet username electricnet. I’m a first class geek, as you’d expect. I love and appreciate a lot of things in this great world we are in the midst of. First off, I like both designing and programming. Both things are creative and fascinating, but each in their own way. While programming is satisfying in the way that you can really see your products do things, perform some actions, etc.; designing is amazing because it creates a certain visual harmony that is sure to give me inner peace.

I do a lot of internet things because that’s what I love to do. Why? Because for me, creating things on the internet is the perfect mix of both design and programming. Unlike any other digital medium, the web allows you to be very creative in terms of design. You are free to choose whatever colours and positioning that suits you, your needs and your wants, without having to keep certain guidelines in check. Webpages on the world wide web are like visual playgrounds unfolding in front of your eyes, especially these days with the new possibilities given to us by even newer technologies. It’s design created by the use of programming. And that is something I enjoy.
Other things I enjoy include photography; I shoot with a Canon EOS 450D and have a stack of lenses that continues to grow. I also have a big passion for music and I share some of my favourite tracks on my blog Andy’s Song of the Now. Additionally, I really love typography. I’m such a big type geek that finding and selecting the typeface just right for the job makes me happy the rest of the day.
That’s me! I’m a full blown geek and I love all of the above things. If you want to see where I am elsewhere on the internet, use the fancy list in the left column. I’ll see you around, maybe?
