Did anyone say summer hit? I mentioned that word briefly in last month’s (unfortunately solitary) song of the now. However, a couple of days after I had arrived home from my vacation to Australia in July, I noticed a new and very summer-y track had been playing on all the cool radio stations.

With several layers of guitars, a groovy rhythm along with an absolutely infectious chorus about—in a true summer hit fashion—sunshine, the debut single from the new Danish band Ginger Ninja sounds very promising. It gets you up on your feet, it’s a pop song well done, and it’s elec’s song of the now.
