The Temper Trap is an alternative rock band with a very atmospheric sound. They have been active for no less than four years, but their debut album Conditions just arrived in European stores a week ago. In conjunction with that, I’ve been playing their first single, originally from 2008, Sweet Disposition a lot. It’s an absolutely beautiful song that features incredibly passionate lyrics sung by brilliant vocalist Dougy Mandagi (and sometimes in more than one layer) on top of grand guitars and atmospheric rhythms. The song exudes feelings at such an intense level I have not heard of since some of the songs on Kings of Leon’s latest album. It’s a track you can scream along to, stomp along to and watch this beautiful world along to, from a band that clearly has immense ambitions. Enjoy it; I know I do.
