I’m a largely visual person. I enjoy thinking of ways to graphically set up things; especially layouts. But in my head, under my visually thinking brain, music is constantly playing. I really enjoy music: I enjoy listening to it, noticing the little details in the musical arrangements, and also pondering a bit about the meaning of the songs.

And when I hear something really good, I get an uncontrollable urge to show the world some of these great tunes. Additionally, I love it when I get to show someone some music they like, but had no idea actually existed. And it really helps when you’re living in such a small country as Denmark; there’s a lot of music here that is pretty great, but largely unnoticed.

I listen to a lot of music every day (I have an addiction to a certain national popular radio station), but sometimes there are just some songs that have something so special that I get obsessed with them for a little time period, as if they become a soundtrack for my life. And thus, I’m coining the term andy’s song of the now for the seemingly endless stream of songs that are slowly but securely making their way to my secretly music-loving head. And heart. And even as I’m writing this, I have one of all these great songs chiming in my mind.

There’s no rules for which songs qualify; as long as it’s songs that I listen to a lot during a specific time period, I feel it’s worthy to mention and share!
